Ruthie Borrelli, M.A., LPCA   Ruthie enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Her past experiences include working in integrative care at a community health clinic and working at a private practice. She has experience working with client from various demographics, ethnicities and backgrounds. Her counseling style is fluid and utilizes several approaches, including psychodynamic, cognitive and person-centered. Ruthie believes counseling should be a collaboration between client and therapist, with the client taking the lead. She believes in open, honest communication between therapist and client.  Ruthie completed her Masters in Counseling at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Ruthie completed her Bachelors of Arts at the University of Georgia where she majored in English. Prior to starting graduate studies, Ruthie worked in marketing.  In her free time, Ruthie enjoys walks with friends, reading for pleasure, cooking, and being active. She grew up in Atlanta but moved to Charlotte after living in D.C. for 3 years.

I have been a social worker for about 6 years now, working across the trauma spectrum with survivors of human trafficking and sexual assault, adolescents aging out of the foster care system and perpetrators of sexual harm.  I am also an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach with a primary focus on women and fertility awareness.  My primary areas of interest include all forms of trauma and infertility, with specializations in families and adolescents.  I believe that authenticity helps facilitate healing and growth.  I believe in telling the truth, and creating space for others to find their voice.

Her theories and techniques used during counseling sessions include motivational interviewing and integrative counseling, which can include solution-focused brief counseling, person-centered, and cognitive techniques.  These strategies are used to  address concerns like anxiety, stress, and depression. Jasmine believes that forming a welcoming environment is essential to helping with growth and change.
